Hi, and welcome to FOOD Adviser.
My name is Abigail Murdock, and I am a foodie first, a wife and a catering business owner.
As a young girl, I spent most time with my mother in the kitchen while she cooked. While other girls were playing dress-up Barbie dolls, I had my own kitchen set where I would pretend to make gourmet meals for our 3 dogs.
My blog – FOOD Adviser intends to help you make purchase decisions with anything related to food preparation, storage and everything in between. We do this by giving you in-depth reviews of specific brands and models, so you may wisely choose the product that best matches your needs.
As I said earlier, I am a foodie first and foremost. It means I love to prepare food and to eat food. With food as the central theme in my life, it naturally followed that I would find a husband in the food business.
My husband, James, is a very handsome blue-eyed, but his main attraction is his business of selling meats and fish. I fell in love with his top quality products before I fell in love with his winning smile and personality.
James is a fishing and hunting enthusiast, and what we can’t eat, we sell, and that’s a whole lot. My first few entries in FOOD Adviser are about vacuum sealers, because I had to learn and perfect the art of food preservation both for our consumption and for James’ business.
I am in a perpetual hunt myself – hunt for new ways to prepare food, new ingredients, and this takes us to many places.
We like to travel and discover new trends, new products that are related to food. In particular, we enjoyed the flavors of Greece and the showmanship and craftsmanship of Japan.
All those said, here is what you can expect in FOOD Adviser:
- Tips on food preservation, including reviews on products and equipment for food preservation;
- Cooking tips, recipes and equipment used;
- Nutritional tips which include food safety and healthy recipes;
- Health care in general, because we eat food to be healthy and everything else is an excess.
Tell us your own experiences about the products we review. Let us help each other in making wise decisions with our purchases. We don’t want to be caught holding the wrong kind of knife in the kitchen.
Ask any questions and we will try our best to answer them via our email abigail[at]vacuumsealeradviser.com (please replace [at] with @ when you contact, this is to avoid spam). If we can’t, we will have someone else who knows answer them.
This website is filled with information, but we also want this to be interactive and fun. Check us out and let’s learn from each other!
